I'm JoAnn M. Dickinson, an award-winning children's author, publisher, and storyteller who believes every child deserves books that spark imagination, encourage curiosity, and inspire a lifelong love of reading.
What began as a dream of sharing meaningful stories has grown into a collection of award-winning books, educational resources, podcasts, and creative experiences designed to inspire children, families, and classrooms around the world.
Whether readers are diving beneath the waves with the Amelia Ophelia series, laughing alongside the lovable animals in Lou's Zoo, exploring nature through John's Camping Adventures, discovering science and space with The Young Rylee Series, solving mysteries in Secrets of Hawthorne Manor, enjoying the playful adventures of the Fuzzleberry Friends Coloring Book Series, or relaxing with the imaginative designs in my Whimsical Coloring Books, each adventure is thoughtfully created to entertain, educate, spark curiosity, inspire creativity, and encourage a lifelong love of reading.
Books That Inspire Every Stage of a Child's Imagination
Writing children's books has given me the opportunity to combine my love of storytelling with my passion for education. My books weave together adventure, friendship, kindness, courage, environmental awareness, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), helping children build confidence while discovering the world around them.
Whether a child is picking up their very first picture book, solving a middle-grade mystery, or relaxing with a coloring book, I hope each experience encourages them to keep exploring, imagining, asking questions, and discovering the joy of learning.
As the founder of Two Sweet Peas Publishing and host of the Beyond the Book with JoAnn Dickinson podcast, I enjoy connecting with readers, educators, librarians, parents, and fellow authors. Through conversations with children's authors and publishing professionals, I celebrate the power of stories while sharing resources that inspire both readers and writers.
